What is Hampartsoum?
Hampartsoum is the traditional Armenian name for the Feast of the Ascension, observed 40 days after Easter. This major feast day commemorates Christ's ascension to heaven following His earthly ministry. In Armenian cultural tradition, Hampartsoum symbolizes springtime renewal and community togetherness, and is celebrated with symbolic fortune-telling customs and festive gatherings.
