Dear Faithful,
On Sunday, August 16, 2026, St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church of Costa Mesa will observe the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God—one of the five major Feast Days of the Armenian Church—celebrated on the Sunday nearest August 15.
As Holy Scripture calls us to honor the Lord with the firstfruits of our labor, our Church blesses the grapes after Divine Liturgy. The grape holds a place of honor among all fruits, for from it comes the wine used in the Sacraments of the Divine Liturgy, Holy Communion, and Holy Matrimony.
Madagh is an act of mercy, thanksgiving, and almsgiving. On major feasts and our Church name day, the faithful offer Madagh in gratitude to God for health and well-being, and to beseech spiritual peace from the Almighty.

What if you never had to search for a parking space at St. Mary again?
For the first time, St. Mary is auctioning FOUR exclusive reserved parking spaces—and one of them could have YOUR NAME on it!
Each winning bidder will receive a designated reserved parking space at St. Mary, complete with a personalized sign featuring the winner’s name or family name.
Only four spaces are available.
Bidding will take place online, so you can participate right from your phone, tablet, or computer. And don’t worry if you can’t be with us in person on Sunday—you can continue bidding from wherever you are.

We’ll also bring the excitement to St. Mary on Sunday as the auction approaches its conclusion. Watch the bids, scan the QR code to participate, and see who takes home one of St. Mary’s four reserved parking spaces!
And remember: last-second bidding won’t steal the spot. If a bid is placed during the final two minutes, bidding on that space will automatically be extended, giving everyone a fair opportunity to respond.
