Dear St. Mary Family,
We want to let everyone know that the ACYO Beach Party scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, September 6, has been canceled due to expected inclement weather and unsafe ocean conditions.
Our St. Mary ACYO Board and Youth Director have been closely monitoring the forecast and ocean conditions and have also been in contact with the Newport Beach lifeguards. With high surf, strong rip currents, and the possibility of rain expected on Sunday, the decision was made that holding the beach gathering would not be safe.
The safety of our youth, families, and parishioners is our highest priority.
At this time, there are no plans to reschedule the Beach Party.
The ACYO Lock-In is still happening!
The ACYO Lock-In at St. Mary will continue as planned this evening, Saturday, September 5. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening of fellowship, activities, food, prayer, and time together.
Sunday Badarak
Our ACYO youth will also attend Badarak together on Sunday as planned.
Should any additional ACYO activities be confirmed for after Badarak, those details will be communicated separately.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep everyone safe. We look forward to seeing our youth at the Lock-In and our St. Mary family at Badarak on Sunday.
